What is Our Why?

Our mission is to help make manufacturing accessible to those that have a passion for pursuing a career in the world of technology and production. The why is very simple for us - helping others creates a sense of community. When we help each other, we all win.

Let one of our instructors, Alex, tell you more about our why in the video below…

How The Idea Was Born

STEMWORKS Orlando was created to fill the gap between education and the hands on experience of engineering while strengthening the sustainability of quality manufacturing.

As two UCF engineering graduates, we recognized this gap and have committed to making a difference through building community, strengthening the pool of skilled workers, as well as enhancing engineering knowledge.

Our manufacturing training classes are designed to help job seekers and those already on the job uplevel their manufacturing skills to help them increase their marketability for jobs by working in a full functioning machining facility.

That is only the beginning, there is more-

Meet Our Team

Jace Hovey

A mechanical engineer with a passion for improving production designs and products using the latest technology and robotic integrations.

His work experience with local and international companies provides him a vast knowledge of design, production and business skills.

A role in leadership with Baja SAE, Society of Automotive Engineers, expanded his skills with tooling through the manufacturing of parts for the baja car, which competed in national competitions.

Jace’s keen understanding of how things work propelled him toward making processes and production improvements from an early age. By 16, he had designed a product that went to market and is still in production today.

Inspired by the curiosity of what is possible - he took on and accomplished the challenge to create a fully automated barista. This kiosk robotic automated coffeeshop provided a variety of drinks with a multitude of options prompted by the entry of an app order.

“Automation has always been a passion of mine because it can expedite ideas and bring them to market faster and with more accuracy. I am committed to helping others broaden and deepen their knowledge while bringing the latest technology to manufacturing facilities.”
